Collector-quality non-updated original set from 1981! Complete early DOS 1.00 original set acquired from the original owner who received new in 1981. User Manual has all content pages complete and unmarked, original owner's name is written on title page as shown, which adds some provenance, no other writing inside. From smoke-free dry indoor storage, so no smoke or old musty odors to detract from condition or value, very clean and crisp condition well cared for since new.
Handled very carefully for the photos and disk testing. All parts included are the original part numbers for IBM DOS 1.00 as this is an original set as it came from IBM in 1981.
Part numbers changed as subsequent versions were released starting with DOS 1.1 in May 1982. See the photos which show all the part numbers.
It also lists all the original part numbers for DOS 1.00, all of which are the same as included here in this early original set. DOS disk was just tested and boots right up on my properly maintained and functioning early IBM PC 5150 computer as shown! This is 35+ year old magnetic media so it is not guaranteed to work for any period of time or on hardware that may have issues. Copies should be made to use as the original disk would be best to keep preserved for display only and not subjected to regular use to protect. Disk and label are in excellent cosmetic condition as shown.
