Vintage Apple Macintosh SE Dual Floppy ImageWriter Manuals Complete
For those of you who have seen my listings before, I HAVE NOT GONE THROUGH this computer as thoroughly as others that I refurbish and list. I also HAVE NOT been running this computer very long, so I CANNOT tell you about any quirks that it may have, because I do not have the history. I have used both floppy drives and tested all the disks that come with the sale on this computer. I normally go through the computers I list here more thoroughly, not this one. If you are interested in having me install a BlueSCSI (solid state hard drive), please message me and I will quote you the price. This computer was bought at a garage sale from the daughter of the original owner, it had 1MB of RAM installed. It has dual floppy 800k drives, original dust covers, manuals and software. I took it apart to inspect the logic board and found the original (not exploded or leaking) Pram battery soldered to the board. I desoldered the old battery and replced with a battery holder and new battery. I removed the 1MB RAM Simms and upgraded the computer to 4MB of RAM and snipped the resistor so the computer could recognize this. Both floppy drives seemed to be working fine, so I DID NOT pull the drives and DID NOT clean or lube them. After replacing the battery, it still would not keep proper time and date. I have had one other Mac act like this before and it is either the RTC (real time clock) chip or a bad crystal that is preventing the clock and date to remain updated. This computer did not have stickers or Velcro on the case and it was surprising clean both inside and out. This case, keyboard, mouse and printer all have typical yellowing, I would rate the color as average on this system. Unit powers on with the familiar ding. If you have not put in a system disk, you will get the empty disk with a flashing question mark inside. After putting in a system disk you get the Happy Mac Face, welcome to Macintosh splash screen and the desktop will load. Again, this computer doesn't have a hard drive, rather two floppy drives. Original Software Include: Full Paint Disks, PlanetFall (game) Disk, Microsoft Word Disks.

Apps Disk include: MacDraw, MacWrite, MacPaint, MAC 3D, MusicWorks, Disk Copy 4.2 and Speak (in case youd like to sound like the late and great Stephen Hawking). Games Disks include: MacYahtzee, Star Wars, Dark Castle, Beyond Dark Castle, Tetris, Missile Command, Lode Runner, Breakout, 3D Tic Tac Toe, Hearts, the Zork Trilogy and more (please see pictures). The screen is clear (waves are from refresh rate on my camera and photos, not how screen looks). I have only printed a test page on the printer, but I have not printed from the computer. The ribbon still works and is not dried up completely, which is a surprise.

Therefore the printer connection cord and printer port are UNTESTED. This sale includes computer, power cord, keyboard, keyboard connection cord, mouse, ImageWriter II printer, printer power cord, printer connection cord, original manuals, extra ribbon (I do not know the state of this ribbon), five original floppy disks and 8 floppy disks that I have repurposed.

If you want to play Dark Castle or Beyond Dark Castle you need to boot from the disk (it has a system folder on it). As always, this computer will be packaged well and secure. The bottom of the Macintosh has three of the four rubber feet, one is missing.

The keyboard has the two bottom rubber feet missing. The printer has both rubber feet on and in good shape. Both ADB ports along with the external floppy drive port on the back have been tested and work. Please look at all the pictures and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
